on MAITREYA

Maitreya is symbolically surrounded by two World Counterforces: Monada and Shakti. Thus he evinces the "zero" energy hidden in the Mystery of EROS which arises as a phantom in the "embrace" of extremes. The teachings of Maitreya are similar in kind: he realizes that shooting stars and shaking shadows, dark like Tartarus, are basically intended for silent confrontation with the outrages of Light....

A number of sensitive Spirits have already proclaimed the coming of Maitreya – perhaps even before the final metamorphosis into a Buddha ... Right when the Author of this book, strictly according to tradition, was fighting his Mystery Battle with Mara in TARTARUS, emptying his "I" and the etheric body to receive the Spirit of the Great Teacher – at this very time, as it turned out, someone was already trying to take the vacant place on EARTH! And this is not surprising in the roaring den of Light-Life... 

Even a compatriot of the author (a professional investigator of Maitreya!), the American Benjamin Creme, went looking for heaven on the wrong track – where there was more light... After all, it is hard to keep paying attention to the darkest Corner of Genesis, where “they do not give but take away”, where no one tries on fashionable haloes as signs of being chosen, where even the journey to paradise has the hopeless feeling of a one-way ticket... This was not what people expected. "Not sympathetic", this Maitreya! Indeed, this discontent with Messiahs is universal... But in our book, there is no other fairy tale DREAM Hero. Therefore we will not jump the gun and focus on mistrust, making premature conclusions. The fact remains that the Spirit of Maitreya has entered flesh, and a historical point has been made, at least in the Author’s own doubts and seekings.. 

So who is the Hero of today, who calls himself Maitreya in everyday life? The author himself will have to both ask questions and respond ...

The Russian-American Mystic Maitreya (Viatcheslav Petrov-Gladky, *1954 in Moscow) is an internationally famous artist and philosopher, the founder of Maitreism (the Teachings of Maitreya), composer, pamphleteer, author of screen-plays and such books as "The Way of Seven Stars. The Diary of a Russian Mystic” (published in Russian and German), "Oddie’s Fairy Tales" (published in Russian) and “Bestseller" (published in Russian)... Two new books are ready for publication: "Oncoming Gloom" and "Dirty Trick" (you can find excerpts from these texts on this site).

 Maitreya has been a dissident, part of the Moscow underground, its unofficial art scene. Following the call of Spirit, he left Russia (USSR back then) at the height of his career. He spent twelve years in Germany (Frankfurt-am-Main), eleven in the US (L.A.), and has been living in Germany again for the past three years (Berlin). Now, in 2014, (at the round age of 60), the Author of the present "Empire of Maitreya" finally feels fully prepared to create an online version of the Teaching as final step, a celebration of a “Full circle” made by the Pentagram. This is it for external life.

Here are some diary excerpts illustrating the internal one: "It seemed to me that I was born believing in God..."

"...at the age of sixteen, I had a full-blown experience of Divine longing. I read a lot, debated on religious issues, searching for a way... At eighteen, I was already a convinced Monotheist, practicing different methods of faith (in particular, for eight years, I followed the severe discipline of Raja Yoga)..."

Most importantly, our brief acquaintance should not preclude you from sharing my unique way of collecting the whole volume of Spiritual experience, which, step by step, formed a mosaic of Proofs of a Unified Organic System beginning with EARTH, DREAM, SKY, EROS… right up to TARTARUS! Each new stage of the Way led to startling Revelation with Visions, Mysteries and Initiations, revealing ever-new spiritual horizons, clarifying the details – until finally, it touched the last missing link, the lowest (and, as it turned out, the dominant!) one, without which the Great and "Rehabilitated" Satanic Pentagram that you see here could never have been completed!
